The annual Jahresgaben go back to the foundation of the Kunstverein München in 1823. Initially, members received a print as part of their membership. Today the Jahresgaben are a special time for members, because only membership makes it possible to purchase the otherwise often unaffordable works of Munich-based artists and graduates of the Munich Academy. This year, the Kunstverein München is focusing on more than 80 artists and is creating a space for exchange and ideas in the 1.OG. This year with a scenography by Ivo Rick. As part of the exhibition, Kunstverein München presents daily screenings and video works by the Munich artists.
